Mick Rowley and Zeke Lund of British psychedelic rock group The Smoke moved to Germany in the mid-70s after the group's split, Zeke Lund became a sound engineer on many Munich disco productions of the late 70s while Rowley signed with Jürgen S. Korduletsch's Lollipop label. With Italian disco ensemble Macho's take on Steve Winwood's "I'm A Man" becoming a smash in the US discotheques, Korduletsch, Rowley and drummer Keith Forsey of Korduletsch's in-house band Disco Circus rapidly copied Macho's 17-minutes version with a more Munich-disco feeling to the track and secured Rowley a German disco hit.
