The Guess Who are a Canadian rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba. They started out as a local band formed by singer/guitarist Chad Allan in 1958 and initially called Allan and the Silvertones. This was changed to Chad Allan and the Reflections by 1962, by which point the band consisted of Chad Allan (lead vocals, guitar), Bob Ashley (keyboards), Randy Bachman (guitars; later with Bachman-Turner Overdrive), Jim Kale (bass), and Garry Peterson (drums; later with Bachman-Turner Overdrive). After changing their name to The Guess Who, they found their greatest success in the late 60s and early 70s, under the leadership of Burton Cummings (vocals, keyboards) and Randy Bachman.
