Idols were a UK punk group formed in 1978 when Steve Dior (vocals, guitar) and Barry Jones (guitar) (both of The Quickspurts) got together with Arthur "Killer" Kane (bass; ex-New York Dolls) and Jerry Nolan (drums; ex-New York Dolls, The Heartbreakers). The Idols evolved into what become The London Cowboys in the early 80’s.
