About condition grading

All items are normally visually graded, and in at least EX condition, unless otherwise stated. For CD's, only sleeves/inlays are graded. Discs are always without audible defects. Most of them also are visually as new, but if you need to be certain about how they look - please ask before ordering!

SS (STILL SEALED): The record is still factory sealed, and obviously never played and in Mint condition.

M (MINT): The record is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality whatsoever. The sleeve and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or New should be Mint.

M- (NEAR MINT): This is normally our highest grading. Record looks unplayed. Sleeve is almost perfect.

EX (EXCELLENT): The record shows minor signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The sleeve and packaging might have minor wear and/or creasing.

VG+ (VERY GOOD PLUS): The record has been handled and played very infrequently or very carefully. Slight indications of use on record and sleeve.

VG (VERY GOOD): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the sleeve or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

G (GOOD): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The sleeve and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

The addition of (+) or (-) to a grade indicates a degree slightly above or below the grade.
If two gradings are noted, the first one is for the record, the second for the sleeve.
When no grading is noted, the condition is EX or better.
